Why did arby’s make these weirdly shaped chicken noodle cups?

It is a common practice to place a piece of chicken noodles on a plate in a traditional Chinese restaurant.

But now that noodle-shaped cups are popping up all over the country, what’s the story behind them?

The noodle makers in question are apparently trying to create something special.

The dish is called Noodles with the Noodle, and is the brainchild of an Indiana company called Dixie Noodle.

It is based in Indiana, but is now also in Michigan and Ohio.
